Confirm You Are Registered To Vote At Least 30 Days Before The Election

• To confirm your registration, go to the Texas Secretary of State’s Am I Registered? Tool.
• If you aren’t listed as active, you are not registered. Please register!

Confirm You Have Photo Id

• See this list of accepted IDs for voting in Texas and what to bring to the polls.

Choose When And Where You Will Vote

• Check VOTE411.org or your County Election websites for voting times and locations.
• The League of Women Voters highly recommends voting during Early Voting.

Research Candidates And Issues On Your Ballot

• Go to Vote411, the League’s online, interactive voters guide for nonpartisan information on candidates and ballot issues.
• The League offers printed nonpartisan Voter Guides at area libraries and various community locations. Pick up a Voters Guide and then pass it on to a friend!
• No phones are allowed at the polls, so print out or make a list of your selections.

Bring These Items To The Polls

• Your photo ID is required.

• Any paper notes or printed research from VOTE411, or your sample ballot with your candidates marked. You cannot use your phone at the polls.

• You do not have to bring your voter registration card.
