    Be a United States citizen and a resident of the county where you submit the application

    Be 18 years of age by Election Day (you can register up to two months before your 18th birthday) 
- 
    Not be a convicted felon who is on probation, parole, or incarcerated. (You may re-register to vote once you have completed your sentence, probation, and parole.) 
- 
    Not be mentally incapacitated by a court of law.

    Texas does not have online registration.

    Paper Registration 
- 
    You can pick up a voter registration form at many libraries, post offices, county courthouses, and other public buildings. Fill it out and mail it in.

    If you have a printer 
- 
    Go to the Texas Secretary of State website, fill out the form, print it, sign and mail. 
- 
    If you do not have a printer 
- 
    Go to Register2vote.org, fill out the form and it will be mailed to you to review, sign and mail. 
- 
    Contact voterservice@lwvbayareatx.org and one of our Volunteer Deputy Registrars will personally help you get registered in your county.
